Favipiravir - a corona fighter drug by Glenmark: ðŸ’Š

As we know, we are suffering from a great pandemic named Corona and all of us are praying for some miracle of medicine which would help us cure this disease, at this time Glenmark company gained success in making a drug named Favipiravir. Here are some facts which you might not be aware of about this medicine:

  • Price of the medicine is ₹103 per tablet, the drug will be available as a 200 mg tablet at ₹ 3,500 for a strip of 34 tablets.
  • Favipiravir is a prescription based medicine and as suggested in some websites the quantity of intake of this medicine can be 1800 gm twice for one day and 800 mg upto 14 days.
  • This medicine will be available at hospital as well as retail and wholesale sellers.
  • The company is producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) at Ankleshwar and formulation is done at Baddi plant located at Himachal Pradesh.
  • As suggested by Glenmark, this drug can also be given to patients suffering from diabetes or heart disease who are affected with mild to moderate COVID-19.
  • As per some research Favipiravir has helped upto 88% of COVID-19 sufferers to get back to their normal life. 
  • This drug offers broad spectrum RNA virus coverage with clinical improvement seen in 20-90 plus age group.
  • Glenmark becomes the first company to get the approval for COVID-19 drug.
  • One of the fact that should be taken into consideration is expiry period of this tablet is tentatively 3 months. So, check the manufacturing date before buying them.

Today I'm going to share something on an emerging Operating System by Google named as FUCHSIA (foo-shuh). This OS is still in its early stage but it appeared GitHub in 2016.
