Will this trick of Whatsapp and google stop the spread of fake news?

Hello, dear readers. Today we will see a new topic that is trending currently in Whatsapp that will fight against fake news spreaders. The name of the feature is Search the web. This feature allows you to search the reality of the forwarded message using the Google browsing platform. Let's see how this feature works.


  1. Search the web feature is still not launched in India.
  2. This feature is available in countries like the US, UK, Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, and Spain for those having the latest version of Whatsapp in their mobile phones.
  3. This feature has started rolling out from 3rd August.
  4. There will be a magnifying glass symbol beside every forwarded message and clicking on that, Whatsapp redirects you to Google without reading that message.
  5. This redirection will help you to find the reality of that message.
  6. Let's hope that this feature helps in stopping the forward of fake messages.
